my speech

Why kids should not have homework.

Hi  my speech is about  Why we don’t  need homework
*  By the end of my speech  you might be thinking the same
I think that  my speech will show you why I think this, and
In the next 2 ½ minutes I hope I make you think more about this subject or maybe even persuade you that I am correct…..

SERIOUSLY….none of us REALLY want to do homework DO WE?????
.
We  already put too much effort into school  work.  I think we are putting enough effort into our school work during the day so  this is why we shouldn’t have homework when we go home. We go to school for about 6 hours  which is ¼ of our day. We go to sleep for about ten hours a day.
We also spend many hours a day doing other things like eating food, cleaning our teeth and other stuff so there is not enough play time in each day to do all of these things never mind before we start doing any homework!

Happier kids learn more and learn easier.
I think that kids are happier when they don’t have to do homework. Happier kids are  more relaxed. Kids that are more relaxed will sleep better.
Happier kids are more healthy because they are outside more.
Happier kids are more interested in learning when they are at school.
..
This leads to how good it will be for our teachers.  Kids that are more interested in learning  make better students. Kids that WANT to learn make the teacher's job easier . These kids want to join in with more school activities.
So Happy kids want to learn more and the TEACHER has an EASIER JOB
.
CONCLUSION
In my speech I have shown you that we should not have homework because
Kids don't have enough hours in the day for play time.  Kids are HAPPIER without homework. Kids are HEALTHIER without homework

KIDS that are HAPPIER and HEALTHIER learn more and make the teacher's job easier.
my reflection

I am learning to write a speech.
I am so proud of writing an interesting speech.
It can be tricky to make your speech more than 2 minutes long.
My Teacher can help me by editing my speech with me.
The next step for me in my learning might be making my speech longer.
